No Más Elders Y Nuevas Clases

Image
Hello everyone! How are all you lovely people?? Miss you all so much! Another week has gone by here at the Provo mtc. This week was definitely a little slower and there were lots of changes. I have like 5 more days here at the mtc so I am getting nervous and excited to get to my mission! All of the elders in my district left for the field and are all in their missions now. After spending like 11 hours a day with them for 6 weeks straight we all got super tight so it was sad to see them all go. They are gonna be awesome missionaries though and I am excited for the reunion once we all get home. Like half are going to BYU so we will cross paths which is so awesome! Also I started visitors center training which has been fun! I learned a bit more about what I am gonna do as a visitors center missionary and how that all sorta works so here's the rundown. There are 13 visitors' centers around the world. There are roughly 74,000 missionaries worldwide right now (I know crazy right??) a...

Another Week In The Provo MTC

Image
Hello everyone! Somehow its already been another week??? The weeks really do start to fly by, its so crazy! I will be in my mission in less than two weeks which is wild! Im a little nervous but mostly excited! All of the elders in my district leave on Tuesday which is sad but all of us sisters have an extra week for visitors center so we get to be together for another week which is such a blessing! I'm so grateful for the sisters in my district and for my comp. They are all so awesome! And it has been so fun to meet so many other awesome people here. It will be sad to say bye to all my friends but I am excited to get to Mesa and to get to be by the temple every day! Something fun this week has been SYL or Speak Your Language so basically only spanish for an entire week. We started on Monday and I made it a goal to do 5 pushups for every word I accidentally say in English so that has been fun haha! My arms are definetely sore. Anyways I am learning so so much so fast and it is so fu...

One Month As A Missionary!!

Image
Hello everyone! I cannot believe I've already been a missionary for a month! So crazy!! I started home mtc a month ago today. I've got three weeks left at the mtc until I head to Mesa which is so exciting! But I've only got two more weeks of spanish classes because my last week here will be temple visitors center training which I've heard is fun so I am looking forward to that!  Nothing really happened this week. Just a normal week of classes and Spanish tutoring and studying and all that good stuff. Spanish is fun and we start SYL on monday which is basically where you sign a paper that says you can't speak english for an entire week. I have been playing basketball and volleyball in the gym with my district which has been super fun! For those if you who don't know I played basketball for 10 years so it's been good to play it a little bit again cuz I miss it sometimes. Anyways all the sisters wear baggy basketball shorts and big shirts so we all look like Ad...

Provo MTC Week 2

What's up everybody! Miss you all so much. Hope you are doing well and life is good.It feels like I have been a missionary my entire life but somehow it's only been 3 weeks??? I'm officially a third of the way done with my time at the Provo mtc and there have been so many blessings and tender mercies!! It has been hard and tiring but I am learning and growing so much! The days just blur together and if I wasn't journaling every day I would not remember anything. Also one of the sisters in my district has strep and I woke up with a sore throat today so wish me luck.  We started Spanish immersion classes last week and it is so much fun! It's easier than I thought it would be and my teachers are awesome and so patient with us. We aren't allowed to talk in English at all during our 3 hour classes everyday so by the time I walk out of class at the end of the night my brain is mush. We celebrated the 4th of July and got to watch the stadium of fire fireworks over the ...

Provo MTC Week 1

Image
Hello everyone! It has been the longest, most insane week of my life. Not actually but it has been crazy. It has been hard and a big adjustment but I'm figuring it out. Last Wednesday I got dropped off at the mtc. Said goodbye to the fam. And let me tell you they get you right into things at the mtc. No time to spare. And everyone is so nice it's a little freaky. But it's a good thing. My comp is so awesome. We laugh all the time and definitely distract each other in classes. An average day at the mtc goes something like 6:30 wake up then comp study and get ready then breakfast. Then we have a class from 8:30-11:30. Then lunch and then personal and language study wherever we can work it in every day. Then we have either one hour of Spanish tutoring or an hour-long workshop every day. Then we workout and or study and then dinner and then another 3 hour evening class. Then district prayer and a spiritual thought then get ready for bed and journal and then lights out at 10:30....
