Last Week Of The Transfer!
Hello everyone! Hope you all had a good week. I honestly can't really remember what happened this week other than being in the vc a bunch for xmas lights and transfer news and going to the temple last pday.
Christmas lights is super fun but so exhausting! We get home at like 10:45 every night and only get to sleep in 30 mins so needless to say the sleep deprivation is setting in. I could not keep my eyes open in a single comp study or meeting this week, it was bad. But it's been so fun to meet people from all over and to get to see so many miracles every single day. We give out copies of the Book of Mormon like candy and it's so awesome. My absolute favorite thing so far has been the station where we are upstairs because that's where the temple model is. Its usually a lot slower upstairs cuz half the people don't even make it up there but because of that we get to have more personalized experiences with the guests. My favorite thing is when people ask "so what is this building?" or "what do you do in the temple?" and I just get to explain to them what a temple is and share my testimony of it all. Those have been some of my favorite moments so far. Also the pure shock on people faces when we explain the Book of Mormon and then tell them it's free and they can take a copy home if they want.
We got transfer news on Saturday night but I had an interview with my mission pres on Thursday so I got transfer news a couple days early. I'm going to L1 which is a spanish ward in downtown Mesa! I'm going to a real ward not a branch which will be a fun change I think. My comp is gonna be Hermana Rocha and she's from England. We know each other briefly cuz she serves in the vc too and she's awesome so I am excited! She's a transfer behind me so we both don't know spanish very well yet and I think it's gonna be super entertaining and crazy when we can't understand what's going on. I'm excited but a little nervous so wish me luck!
My spiritual thought this week is mostly just my testimony. I got a priesthood blessing last week and all I said beforehand was "can I get a blessing of comfort?" Every word was exactly what I needed to hear. The elder who did it doesn't know anything of my situation or struggles but somehow said everything I needed to hear. It never fails to suprise me and strengthen my testimony when I get a blessing. I know that God knows us and our feelings and thoughts. He wants us to succeed and be happy and one of the ways to help us do that is through the priesthood. I'm just grateful for priesthood blessings.
Ok hope you all have a blessed week. Love and miss you all! Write me a letter!
