MTC -> MESA

Hello everyone! I've oficially made it to my mission! I left mtc 6 days ago and with traveling I missed my mtc pday and now my pdays will be Monday with one Tuesday pday every transfer because of the temple. Ok here's my rundown of the last almost 2 weeks with leaving mtc and arriving in my mission...

I finished up my visitors center classes on a Friday and had a super spiritual ending to my last class at the mtc. I loved my teachers! Then the next day was saturday and we went to temple square for a full day. All of the visitors center sisters get to do it and it was super fun! My comp for the day was a sister from Australia which was so cool! We got chick-fil-a for lunch at the mall nearby and it was the best thing ever. It was so so good to eat normal person food after 6 weeks of the mtc food. Monday night took a bunch of pics and said goodbyes to all of my friends and then left the mtc tuesday morning. Had to say bye to my comp Hermana Fox and the other sisters in my district which was sad but we will see each other at byu after so its okay.

Ok so Tuesday morning I flew to PHX and then met my mission presidents at the airport and then drove to the mission office and met my comps. I'm in a trio for the next 3 weeks because one of my comps, Hermana Jones, goes home in 3 weeks so she's helping train me till she goes home. The other sister is Hermana Gonzalez and she's from Mexico and is learning English. They are both super sweet and have taught me so much! I am in the vc 2-3 days a week from 10am-9pm and then the rest of the time is just normal missionary stuff. I'm serving in an area called Adobe which is technically in Apache Junction. When the APs found out I was going there they said its in the boonies of the mission lol. The area I am in is basically full immersion and we are assigned to a little spanish branch of about 50 people. The people here are awesome and we get fed a lot. They give us so much food it's crazy. I've had two dinners in one night twice already and I've only been here like a week. I think everyone here is trying to make me fat. Just kidding haha. But I'm grateful that everyone is so nice and we get fed so much, its a huge blessing!

I love being in the visitors center and it is so peaceful and nice to just sit there and be able to kinda escape from the crazy missionary life for a bit and just be by the temple. There are a bunch of murals at the vc and I love how in all of them Jesus is surrounded with light and he looks so happy and peaceful. I just love how when we are struggling, he is always there and he will never leave our side. He will be there for us no matter what.

Hello everyone! Espero que tuvieron una buena navidad! Miss you all! It was a fun and crazy week. Christmas on the mission doesn't really feel like Christmas but it was still really fun. We had our last day with the Christmas lights and not gonna lie I was ready for it to be done. It was so so fun and there were tons of miracles but it was super tiring. Also it's almost 2025 now which is crazy! We were in the vc a lot this week and I saw so many people I know! We got to give out lots of book of Mormons as usual, some in crazy languages which is fun. Also explained the temple a lot which never gets old. I love the temple so much. After pday ended last week we filled in for some sisters who were sick and couldn't come into the vc so we weren't even supposed to be there that night but I saw two families I know and it was a huge tender mercy. Hello everyone! Hope your week was fun and you all had a good Halloween!  The title of my email is a quote from one of our lessons from this week with a guy we just met named Erick. Absolutely brutal comment. But it was funny and made us laugh. I guess my spanish skills aren't as good as I thought...but regardless of how bad my spanish was, the lesson went really well! Which is awesome and we were super grateful to have a real lesson and we have high hopes and lots of good goals for this transfer. We also had a awesome visit with Raquel. We dropped cookies off and heart attacked her a while ago but just haven't been able to get in contact with her for a long time so this was a knock or drop and on the third knock she opened the door and let us in. She's the sweetest old lady ever and she said that everytime she talks to us she feels really peaceful and that we are like her nietas or granddaughters and her angels. Christmas Zone Conf And Miracles!

Hola a todos! Espero que todos hayan tenido una buena semana!  Ya casi es Navidad! Christmas is in 2 days but it's still 75 degrees haha. Arizona is crazy. I am so so tired from Christmas lights. Fighting the urge to fall asleep every time I sit down somewhere. Ive also gotten so behind on journaling rip. But the holidays are fun so it's worth it. Knocked so so many doors this week. Had a friend named Diego come to church yay! Overall a great week! We had zone conference on Tuesday and it was so fun! We did a live nativity, had a "snowball" fight, ate good food, and got to hear lots of good spiritual messages. In our zone breakout we talked about how we can truly rely on Christ and give all our struggles and trials to Him and how He can help us through them. I love zone conference and it's always exactly what I need to hear. We knocked tons of doors this week and had some silly interactions but saw lots of miracles.
