3 MONTHS???
Hola a todos!!
Tomorrow marks 3 months as a missionary and one transfer done here in Mesa! Kinda crazy that I've been a missionary this long already. Feels like I've been doing this my whole life but also I just started?? Anyways I'm staying here in Adobe for the next transfer with the same comp which is good! We are excited for another transfer together and she's awesome so I'm excited. This week was honestly pretty boring and chill. Nothing super interesting happened but I'll give you guys some highlights.
I gave a training in the visitors center in our meeting on Wednesday and talked about baptisms for the dead in the temple and it was super fun! I miss being able to go to the temple whenever I want but I am super grateful that I get to go once a transfer. I talk about the temple in like every email, I just love the temple.
We had such a good lesson with Margarita and her family and ironed out some details for their baptism. One of her kids kept asking questions and she asked about prophets and we explained it and then she goes "oh so they are like you guys" and we were like "uh no we aren't prophets" it was super funny haha we all just started laughing during the lesson.
We had a music devotional and noche de España this week and there was this man walking around outside the church building the night before when we were helping set up and one of the members invited him to noche de España the next day and he came and talked to all the members and then came to church the next day. It was so cool and he lives in our area so we are gonna start teaching him!!
Otherwise it was a pretty normal and chill week and we knocks lots of doors and had some super good lessons.
I lost my Book of Mormon for like 3 days which was really sad cuz I don't like reading on my phone very much so I was super bummed but I prayed real hard and found it in the VC so that was a miracle!
Something I liked from my studies this week is part of 2 Nephi 25:23 which says "to be reconciled to God; for we know that it is by grace that we are saved, after all we can do." I like this because after we have done all we can, we know that we will be carried through the rest. If we give our best effort then the Lord will help us as long as we have the desire to be better and desire to become more like Christ.
Love and miss you all and hope you have a good week!!
