Nuestras Amigos No Quieren Reunirse
Hola a todos! Espero que todos ustedes estén bien! I'm doing good, still here in Apache Junction, AZ. It cooled down for about 3 days, but this week was back up to like 105 every day, so needless to say, I'm getting excited for winter haha!
This week was super busy as always and we had a bunch of meetings. We had training academy and had a super good training on helping our friends keep commitments and they drilled daily contacts on us so we have been making a better effort to do that this week. I also had a social media meeting. I got put on the social media team for my mission so everyone go follow Luz de Cristo on Facebook!
Our friends that we are teaching right now either don't respond, are super flaky, or don't want us to teach them anymore so me and my comp have been doing more service projects recently which I have absolutely loved! This week one of the things we did was help move stuff out of an old school. We were going to help move boxes from the trailer into a storage unit so we drove to the address but it was the wrong storage complex and the door was already open so we just drove right in and then the door shut and we got trapped in there. We eventually realized we were in the wrong place and had to call the old lady who owned it to come let us out. Fun fact my parents used to own a storage complex. Anyways it was super silly cuz we were just trapped in there for like 20 mins.
Me and my comp live with 3 other sisters so we sometimes stay up a little too late messing around and talking. But all 5 of us serve in the visitors center so on the days where we are there together we carpool and its so fun!
My spiritual thought for the week is about diligence and patience. I have been reading in the Book of Mormon near the end of 2 Nephi and Jacob. In Jacob 5:75 it says "And blessed art thou; for because ye have been diligent in laboring with me in my vineyard, and have kept my commandments" and I think that ties into Hebrews 6:15 which says "And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise." Even when we are following the commandments, life will still be hard and sometimes we just have to patiently endure those hard times but if we are faithful and diligent then we can obtain those promised blessings and we can be sure that God is looking out for us and he knows us and wants what is best for us.
Ok hope you all have a good week and have fun watching general conference!! Love and miss you all!
