Un Hombre Con Una Pistola Y Un Hombre Sin Pantalones

Hola a todos!

Miss you guys! Hope you all had a wonderful week! My week was pretty good, it felt super duper long with the extra day and adjusting to being in a duo instead of a trio but otherwise it was good! So many crazy moments this week so I'll give you guys the rundown.

Hermana Jones went home a week ago it's just been me and Hna Gonzalez. She understands everything I say in English but almost always responds in Spanish which is helping me learn so so much and its so fun and my spanish is improving a ton. Sometimes when I don't understand she speaks English but we speak almost all spanish in our companionship so it's super fun! We did water balloon wars at district sports last pday which was so fun! Had some super good lessons this week and found a couple new people which is always good! Hna Gonzalez gives me all of the directions when we are driving in Spanish and sometimes she gets her lefts and rights mixed up so we've made a lot of wrong turns this week haha. We were outside of a inactive members house before a visit, kinda planning what we wanted to teach them because we didn't have a companion study that day so things were chaotic with planning and we were like "let's just share a video" so she was searching for a video and one popped into my head and I was gonna say it but then she clicked on the exact same video that I was thinking of. Out of literally thousands of videos she clicked on the same one I was thinking of. It was just cool to see how the spirit guides us what to teach and what to say.

Last Monday, my mission president extended an invitation to our whole mission to find 100 people on President Nelson's 100th birthday and everyone in the mission worked real hard and we ended up finding a total of 192 new people yesterday in our mission which is crazy!

I got a haircut from a member and she had me stand up the whole time and it's was like 100 degrees in her house and the cape thing was like a sauna and I almost passed out like my vision went all black and I had to sit down for like 5 mins and drink some juice haha but I'm all good now.

Ok we knocked on a door and a man answered and said he was sleeping so we should come back another day but he also had no pants on which was super wierd because who answers their door with no pants on??? But he said we can come back next week!! Hopefully he has pants on when we visit him next.

We were going to have a lesson with one of our friends and they didn't answer so we were walking to go knock some other doors and as we were walking down the road, a man got out of his car he kinda yelled  "are you guys jehovah witnesses" and we were like "uh no we are Missionaries for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints" but he also had a gun which kinda freaked us out. We said bye and walked away real quick haha.

Also I had to give a talk in sacrament which was absolutely terrifying. Giving a sacrament talk in English is scary but in spanish it was even scarier.

Something that stuck out to me from my studies this week is when I was preaparing for a training I have to give in the VC tomorrow. I was studying the history of the temple and baptisms in the temple. It was just really cool to learn about how much the early saints sacrificed to build a temple here in Mesa. I think we take for granted the fact that we have so many temples so close by but back then, almost 100 years ago, they gave up literally everything to build a temple. So this week I've just been feeling extra grateful for the sacrifices that the early saints made to give us temples. Especially because I got to go to the temple this morning and it was just so peacful and nice. I just love the temple and love that I get to teach people about temple blessings in the visitors center.

Ok I hope you all have a great week! Sorry this email was super long. There were just lots of good moments this week that I wanted to share. Ok byeeeee love and miss you all!
