Service Mission Stuff And Life Update!!

Image
Hello everyone! Long time no email oops haha. This might be a big one cuz it’s been like 3 and a half months so yeah…sorry in advance about that. But someone recently reminded me that even though I’m not a teaching missionary anymore, I should still send emails haha. Also that some of you guys might want to hear about service mission stuff and the things I’m doing so I took the advice and decided to send an email. Ok so who knew (not me) that service missions are actually awesome! I didn’t really know anything about service missions before deciding to switch so I kinda felt like I was going in blind. But being home and being a service missionary, though definitely not what I expected for my mission, has been a big learning experience. Service missions are cool because you can decide how busy you want to be and the kind of assignments you want to do. Like literally anyone could do a service mission because it’s so flexible and customizable. So right now I am serving in the temple 3 days...

Lots Of Wild Moments This Week

Image
Hey everybody! I hope you all had a great week! I love you all and miss you loads. This week was busy and exhausting and a lot happened. This week was full of crazy moments. Like moments that made me and my comp go "is this even real???" One of the days this week we were in the visitors center and this man named Leeland Burton came in and we were having a nice conversation and then he said "one time my prior bishop said something that offended me real bad so I put a dead fish in his car" he said it was 115 degrees outside and it was stinking and everything and they couldn't find it cuz he hid it under the backseat and had to sell the car and me and my companion were just laughing. It was funny. We were knocking doors and we found phamplets from another church so we stole them and replaced them with our church invites or Jesus pass alongs teehee. The message they were sharing wasn't even hopeful like at least the message we have is joyful and happy. Some rand...

¡Feliz Año Nuevo!

Image
Hello everyone! This week was pretty normal other than me being kinda sick. I hope you all had a good week and that the new year is off to a great start! New years eve we got asked to go into the vc because we aren't allowed to drive after 6pm cuz of all the parties and stuff. Amyways, we live close enough to walk there so we were just there all night and it was super slow other than a few people coming in to complain about the xmas lights being off a day early. But being in the vc is the best and Bro Dalton brought us dairy queen blizzards so it was a good new years eve. Also out of the like 10 people who came in all night, there was only one spanish person. It was this guy who was super interested and we ended up getting his info and teaching him all about the Book of Mormon and showing him the Christus and talking about how Jesus loves us and it was super aweome. I had an exchange with my stl on Saturday and we had a super good lesson with one of the people in her area. Since he...

Christmas On The Mish And No More Lights!

Image
Hello everyone! Espero que tuvieron una buena navidad! Miss you all! It was a fun and crazy week. Christmas on the mission doesn't really feel like Christmas but it was still really fun. We had our last day with the Christmas lights and not gonna lie I was ready for it to be done. It was so so fun and there were tons of miracles but it was super tiring. Also it's almost 2025 now which is crazy! We were in the vc a lot this week and I saw so many people I know! We got to give out lots of book of Mormons as usual, some in crazy languages which is fun. Also explained the temple a lot which never gets old. I love the temple so much. After pday ended last week we filled in for some sisters who were sick and couldn't come into the vc so we weren't even supposed to be there that night but I saw two families I know and it was a huge tender mercy. God knew I needed that.  On Christmas we went to the Porters who are a senior couple at the vc and we watched escape from Germany and...

Christmas Zone Conf And Miracles!

Image
Hola a todos! Espero que todos hayan tenido una buena semana!  Ya casi es Navidad! Christmas is in 2 days but it's still 75 degrees haha. Arizona is crazy. I am so so tired from Christmas lights. Fighting the urge to fall asleep every time I sit down somewhere. Ive also gotten so behind on journaling rip. But the holidays are fun so it's worth it. Knocked so so many doors this week. Had a friend named Diego come to church yay! Overall a great week! We had zone conference on Tuesday and it was so fun! We did a live nativity, had a "snowball" fight, ate good food, and got to hear lots of good spiritual messages. In our zone breakout we talked about how we can truly rely on Christ and give all our struggles and trials to Him and how He can help us through them. I love zone conference and it's always exactly what I need to hear. We knocked tons of doors this week and had some silly interactions but saw lots of miracles. We were knocking these apartments at like 8pm an...

6 Meses Como Misionera!

Image
Hello everyone! I hit 6 months as a missionary tomorrow. How crazy is that?? This week was so so crazy and busy and exhausting but full of miracles. I feel like my brain is mush and I can't ever remember anything but I am learning so much and am grateful for the miracles every day. Ok we had transfers on Tuesday which means I have been with Hermana Rocha for almost a week now. She is so fun and laid back. She's been educating me all about England. She said she misses the queen. We have had lots of fun and she's still a sorta new missionary and I just got to the area so we are just having fun learning from each other and learning the area. This area is tiny but has tons of Spanish people and there are literally thousands of apartments. She is super motivated but keeps it fun. Also her English accent is awesome! We live near the temple which is so lucky. We have been doing morning walks around the temple and getting to see the sunrise and the temple first thing in the morning...

Last Week Of The Transfer!

Image
Hello everyone! Hope you all had a good week. I honestly can't really remember what happened this week other than being in the vc a bunch for xmas lights and transfer news and going to the temple last pday. Christmas lights is super fun but so exhausting! We get home at like 10:45 every night and only get to sleep in 30 mins so needless to say the sleep deprivation is setting in. I could not keep my eyes open in a single comp study or meeting this week, it was bad. But it's been so fun to meet people from all over and to get to see so many miracles every single day. We give out copies of the Book of Mormon like candy and it's so awesome. My absolute favorite thing so far has been the station where we are upstairs because that's where the temple model is. Its usually a lot slower upstairs cuz half the people don't even make it up there but because of that we get to have more personalized experiences with the guests. My favorite thing is when people ask "so what ...
